Valverde was joked by asking that Messi quickly collect 100 more goals so as to make his collection to 200 goals in the 2017-18 season.
"I hope he can reach his 200th goal of the season, that will color our training every day," Valverde said.
According to the data, Lionel Messi has gained 97 goals in the Champions League and three goals in the European Super Cup.
